Dear Member or Patron,
The letter is to inform you that River Bend Golf Course will permanently close following the 2012 season. Thank for your past business and loyalty. We wish to deeply express our enjoyment from the relationships we have built.
December marks 30 years of ownership for the Storrs family and just under 50 years that the property was a golf course. The course will become farmland. It is with positive sentiment that it will return to the Haywood family, relatives of the builder and original owner of River Bend. We apologize that this comes with short notice, however, we feel that we must take advantage of the opportunity presented.
We will soon be sending out checks to any members that pre-paid for their 2013 membership. If you have a personal cart at the course, you will have until May 1st, 2013 to remove it from the cart barn. We will assist you with any transportation of your cart and discuss sale options with you if desired. We will be contacting local courses about transferring your cart and potential discounted membership opportunities.
